a Surprise Anniversary Cake for drg. Agus Riyanto
what i can say about this cake is very tiring and shocking cake, ok here is the story behind the processing of making the cake. i got this order from mba Rini (again), she has this group on her BB for selling the blanket, sheets for pillow and bolster. she likes to change her PP (photo profile) on her BB with many types of cakes pic. so some of her friends on the group saw it and really interested to order it. that is how i got this Anniversary cake. Mba Rini told her friends that she likes the rainbow cake i made for her daughter BDCK, so her friends order the same cake but she asked a very big cake...i said my otang only fit for 28-30 cm round baking pan. so after a long discussion she decided the cake is 28cm round.
what happened next is that when i rolled the fondant to make the cover i never thought it would be very big and so tiring (my sweats are falling a lot, but thanks god there's nothing fall down on the cake, because i use a head scarf...hehe). i rolled the fondant for 3 times, the first and the second are failed because it was ripped, i rolled to thin and thanks god on the 3rd i finally made it...fuihh...my heart is pounding really hard when i cover the cake. well this is the biggest cake that i ever made, of course i'm worried but i know i can do it. well i'm happy with the result although there's some that is not perfect (need a lot of practice).
The comment about the cake is that the cake is for 10th Years Anniversary Wedding, the wife ordered the cake for a surprise gift for the husband. when the cake is arrived the husband who received , the wife said she only got a very tiny piece of cake because her relatives and friends already cut the cake and bring it home and eat it. but she likes the cake.
